Where The Wild Things Are Party Ideas

In anticipation for the upcoming release of Where the Wild Things Are (due out in theaters October 16th) I have found several ideas that would make for great Halloween, fall or birthday party ideas. How fun would it be to bring the pages of Maurice Sendak’s children’s classic to life. To refresh your memory, Max the main character gets sent to his room for being naughty and then starts to imagine that his room is a forest, where wild things live. The story and illustrations are so inspiring I can’t wait to see how Spike Jones will interpret the pages and turn them into full length feature film.  Invite your guests with these adorable digital invitations on Esty at Digipixels storefront, that you can customize yourself.

Attendees of the party could wear a gold crown as Max did after being crowned King. Make this one out of gold poster board from Micheal’s.

For decorations white Christmas lights and candles paired with natural birch branches, raffia and moss will pull together a forest look.

For party favors brown paper bags with these cute tags, a necklace, or journals would make any wild thing happy.
