Verse for the week
I have been stuck on this verse for a while, and as a Mom of a three year old it is something I constantly need to keep in check.
Proverbs 16:21-23
The wise in heart are called discerning and pleasant words promote instruction. A wise man’s heart guides his mouth and his lips promote instruction. Pleasant words are a honeycomb sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Hearthstone House Update
Hearthstone House has been a swirl activity for the past week and half. The Family traveled to Florida for a quick trip, celebrated Slade’s birthday and Waters Photographic, a new venture for our family shot its first wedding. Here are some images of what we have been up to. I will get on the stick and this week post more regularly.

Design Candy- Circus
These rich colors, bold patterns and ionic images are this week’s design candy. Each week I hope to have a new photo collage of design beauties to inspire you. Let me know if there is something you would like to see. Your favorite movie? Your favorite color? Inspired by food? Send me an idea and I’ll come up with a design board based on your inspiration. We will call this segment design candy based on the idea of eye candy, things you can’t look away from because they are just so tasty to look at.
I hope you enjoy!

Design Fridays- Master Bath
In an effort to keep myself current and relevant in the design world, I am going to start a design column that I will post regularly on Fridays. I would love to take your design dilemmas, questions or inspirations and write about them, offer suggestions or give advice on how-to’s. For starters I am going to show some Hearthstone House rooms that are in process. By no means is Hearthstone House a show piece, but I would like to think of it as my laboratory where I experiment and learn. It is one thing to have a great idea but another to execute it and have it look great.
This week we will take a look at Hearthstone House’s Master Bath.
Slade and I painted the bathroom last spring and hung the draperies around the garden tub. The paint color is Italian Gray 7125-1 by Porter Paints but it does read more as a blue hue in person. We also changed out the lighting fixture and added a minimal amount of accessories.
So I think we have a good start but I would love to add to it. Here is a punch list/wish list of how I would like to see it finished of once we have some more time and money. The last six images are some of my proposed ideas.
1. Towel Racks
2. Chandelier for above Garden Tub
3. Roman Shade for window
4. Large Leaning Venetian Type Mirror
5. Ottoman in front of Leaning Mirror
6. New Light Switches/Sockets
7. Frame out mirror with trim molding in front of sink
8. Artwork
Anything I forgot? Anything you would change? Let me know.

Women Around the US Rejoice
Woman all over the United States can finally have a sigh of relief. Football season is finally over! After enduring pre-season for both college and pro starting in mid-summer and having to wait for bowl games during Christmas, the football season has come to its end. Yes that means husbands and boyfriends everywhere will have to go back to Sunday afternoons of brunch, DIY projects, and antiquing. In celebration of glorious event I found a fitting video. God Bless daughters, wives, and girlfriends everywhere for putting up with endless hours of of X’s and O’s.
